Finnveden Powertrain is giving notice to 27 employees in all, 12 of whom are salaried employees. The move affects jobs in the indirect functions at the Alvesta plant including Torpsbruk, and in the corporate staff functions in Moheda.

Powertrain expects to be able to offer several employees continued employment in direct production. Furthermore, employees with a short time left to retirement will be offered the option of early retirement.

A further 20 employees will be laid off at Finnveden Powertrain's other factories and staff functions in Sweden, along with 8 people in the UK.
